Nevirapine is used with other HIV medications to help control HIV infection. It helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body to enable your immune system to work better.

Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually once daily for the first 14 days when you start treatment, then twice daily or as directed by your doctor.
