Acetazolamide is used to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms; upset stomach, headache, shortness of breath, altitude sickness and glaucoma. It is also used with other medicines to reduce edema and to help control seizures in certain types of epilepsy.

Take Acetazolamide exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
